Microsoft 365
Cloud services
Students Teachers EmployeesMicrosoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is a suite of services that brings team collaboration features into one environment. It includes not only the desktop Office applications you know well - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel - but also Exchange mail services and the Outlook client, OneDrive online storage, and other cloud features that allow you to collaborate in real-time. For communication with colleagues and students, you can use not only email but also the Microsoft Teams platform, which allows you to send text messages, make audio/video calls, and share content from your devices. All activated services can be used on Windows and macOS computers, as well as on Android or iOS tablets and phones. Additionally, you can access these services from your personal devices, including installing the Office 365 desktop applications.

Eligibility for Office 365 Desktop Applications and How to Get Them
Every full-time employee and AMU student has five free Office 365 licenses. The license is only valid for the active duration of your studies or employment. After it ends, it will be automatically canceled, and the installed applications will switch to a limited mode where you can only view and print documents but cannot create new ones or edit existing ones.
Since the installed Office 365 regularly verifies the license validity via the internet, if your device is not connected to the internet for 30 days, the license on the device will expire, and the applications will switch to limited mode. Once reconnected to the internet, the license (and full functionality of the applications) will be automatically restored.
You can download the Office 365 installation package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and more) from the Office portal.
