Login credentials to the AMU network

The most important login credentials at AMU are considered to be the so-called AMU network login credentials. They work for many central services and usually have the same username and password. However, there may be services that have their own login credentials.

How to obtain AMU network login credentials

Students - you will receive your login credentials during enrollment.

Teachers and staff - you will personally pick up your login credentials on your first day of work at the relevant IT department according to your place of work. Don't forget to bring an ID, such as an ID card, driver's license, residence card, or passport. The central department is located at the rectorate, and there is one at each faculty. We recommend calling the relevant IT department first to arrange a time to visit, see Contact details for the IT department.

Regular password change for AMU network

According to the Bursar's Directive 1/2026 - Rules for creating, properties, and changing the main access password for the computer network of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, it is mandatory to change your AMU network password at least once every 18 months. You will be notified by email when it is time to change your password. You can find the current validity of your password in the Intranet or KOS. If your password expires, you will need to renew it in person with an IT staff member, see below.

Forgotten AMU network password

If you have two different authentication methods registered in Microsoft 365 (e.g., SMS and the Microsoft Authenticator app), you can reset your forgotten password yourself by following the instructions in Reset of a forgotten AMU network password.

In all other cases, you must visit the IT department in person. Remember to bring a valid form of identification, such as an ID card, driver's license, residence permit, or passport. Student cards, including ISIC/ITIC, are not accepted.

The central IT department is located at the rectorate, with additional offices at individual faculties. We recommend calling the relevant IT department first to arrange an appointment, see Contact details for the IT department.

In exceptional situations where you are located far away (e.g., abroad) and need immediate access, it is possible to arrange identity verification via a video call with an IT staff member. During the video call, you must present one of the official documents listed above.

The application used for the video call depends on the options available to the specific IT staff member. Your camera must also provide sufficient quality to verify the details on your identification document.

Expired AMU network password

It is currently not possible to reset an expired password through self-service.

To renew it, you must visit the IT department in person. Remember to bring a valid form of identification, such as an ID card, driver's license, residence permit, or passport. Student cards, including ISIC/ITIC, are not accepted.
