Login credentials to the AMU network

Login credentials

Students Teachers Employees

The most important login credentials at AMU are considered to be the so-called AMU network login credentials. They work for many central services and usually have the same username and password. However, there may be services that have their own login credentials.

How to obtain AMU network login credentials

Students - you will receive your login credentials during enrollment.

Teachers and staff - you will personally pick up your login credentials on your first day of work at the relevant IT department according to your place of work. Don't forget to bring an ID, such as an ID card, driver's license, residence card, or passport. The central department is located at the rectorate, and there is one at each faculty. We recommend calling the relevant IT department first to arrange a time to visit, see Contact details for the IT department.

Format of AMU network username

Basic format

Students - 6 characters from the surname + 2 numbers.
Teachers and staff - 7 characters from the surname + 1 character from the first name.

Format for Microsoft 365

Students, teachers, and staff - the entire school email address.

Regular password change for AMU network

According to the Bursar's Directive 2/2019 - Rules for creating, properties, and changing access passwords for the AMU computer network, it is mandatory to change your AMU network password at least once every 18 months. You will be notified by email when it is time to change your password. You can find the current validity of your password in the Intranet or KOS. If your password expires, you will need to renew it in person with an IT staff member, see below.

How to change your AMU network password

You can change your password in the Intranet, where you log in using your AMU network username and current password. In the Personal Information menu, select the Change main password option. You will be asked to enter your current password again and then prompted to enter the new password twice.

The current conditions that the new password must meet can be found on the password change dialog page.

Forgotten or expired AMU network login credentials

To obtain or restore login credentials, physical verification of your identity by an IT staff member is required. Therefore, you will need to visit the IT department in person. Remember to bring an identity document, such as an ID card, driver's license, residence card, or passport (other cards, including student or ISIC/ITIC cards, will not be accepted). The central department is located at the rectorate, and there is one at each faculty. We recommend calling the relevant IT department first to schedule an appointment, see Contact Information for IT Department.

Only in exceptional cases, when you are at a great distance, for example abroad, and need to obtain login credentials immediately, you can arrange a video call with an IT staff member, where you must also present one of the above-mentioned documents during the video call.

The application through which the video call will be conducted depends on the specific options of the IT staff member. At the same time, your camera must provide sufficient quality to verify your identity, especially the photo and details on your document.
